On July 1, 2020, Facebook released a Limited Data Use feature to give businesses more control over how their data is used in their systems and better support them with their California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) compliance efforts. This feature setting is disabled by default and prevents the Facebook Offline Conversations connector from successfully sending to Facebook. This issue does not affect the Facebook Custom Audience connector.
We are hard at work to support this feature. In the meantime, please enable the Limited Data Use feature to ensure continued Offline Report generation.
How to enable the Limited Data Use feature
- Log into Facebook Events Manager
- Go to the Data Sources tab
- Select Settings
- Turn on "Enable full use of Customer Data under our Business Tools Terms from this data source whenever an event does not have a Limited Data Use flag"
You will only need to enable this feature during the transition period of Jul 1, 2020-Jul 31, 2020.
